Route venues
The cult figure of Cardinal József Mindszenty is closely linked to several local venues because of his 25-year parish ministry in Zalaegerszeg. Mindszentyneum, which is based on and presents József Mindszenty’s life, – the new building of the József Mindszenty Visitor Centre is not sufficient in itself to evoke the local memory of the former parish priest in Zalaegerszeg; the town itself is an important part of his life story, as are the local stages, buildings, and memorial places in the town’s fabric, which also have an impact with the atmosphere of their location, and all of which are closely connected to the person of József Mindszenty.
